- How to read and understand the VZL report

- Prepare the Reconciliation layout

- Map the payroll ledger to VZL for Reconciliation

- Map the payroll ledger to the payroll journal for Reconciliation

- How to identify differences

- Breakdown the differences and prepare the correction journal

- Close the VZL reconciliation

By the end, participants can:

- Understand the connection between payroll ledger accounts and the payroll run journal

- Ensure accurate recording and reporting of payroll activities for monthly and yearly financial statement compilation

Minimum Prerequisites

• Basic double‑entry bookkeeping.
• Access to payroll exports (period totals by component).
• CoA segment for Payroll, Wage Taxes, Social Premiums, SVB Payables, ZUK Receivable, Bank.
